FAQ

FAQ

1) What is the cause of pain? / Can chiropractic help me?

You will find out on your first visit !
After new patient paperwork is completed you will meet with the doctor. A consultation, history, spinal examination and spinal x-rays will determine if the cause of your pain is chiropractic.

We only accept patients we believe we can sincerely help. If we can't help you, we will refer you to another doctor.

2) How long will it take to get well?

On your second visit, we will report on your spinal examination and x-ray findings. At this time an estimated frequency and length of your treatment plan will be recommended.

3) Is chiropractic safe?

Yes, chiropractic is extremely safe especially when a complete patient history, spinal exam and spinal x-rays are reviewed prior to a chiropractic adjustment.

4) What is a spinal subluxation?

Subluxation occurs when joints in your spine are misaligned and interfere with or "pinch" on your spinal nerves. Injury, stress and poor posture can cause subluxations. Doctors of Chiropractic specialize in the treatment of spinal subluxations with chiropractic adjustment treatments.

5) Do chiropractors prescribe medicine?

No, Doctors of Chiropractic are not licensed to prescribe medication. We offer a natural alternative approach to the relief, correction and prevention of spinal conditions and related symptoms. There are times when our patients need medical care as well as chiropractic care. We refer to medical doctors and other specialists when necessary.

6) Once I start going to a chiropractor do I have to go forever?

That's up to you ! Every patient wants relief of their pain. Doctors of Chiropractic are educated to treat the spine beyond just relief of symptoms. Our goal is the correction and prevention of your spinal problem. Preventative maintenance chiropractic care every one to two months can help you stay well. It is much easier to stay well than to get well!
